How long has it been since he's played long format cricket?

we play what...2 tests a year and can't figure out how to get guys fit enough for that?

I think there is a fundamental difference between Smith and Foulkes. Foulkes gets swing because he releases the ball with his momentum rather than bowling the ball. It's a method that died 70 years ago in international cricket amongst frontline bowlers. Smith at least bowls the ball and hits...

Pretty awesome from the Windies here.

I just can't handle the way he talks. Never could. Slow rambling speech failing to actually describe anything.

Just such a weird comment. What was he thinking.

Kinda harsh given that they're performing different roles. Also felt that Nathan Smith's previous over helped to set up Henry's double tap. Think Smith has generally been the second best bowler today.

who's he got to beat? peak Southee/Boult? assuming Bond takes first change

Henry is unplayable in this mood.

I suspect neither Nathan Smith nor Foulkes are good enough bowlers in test cricket, but at least Smith looks like he would do OK with the old ball which is where our deficit has traditionally been. Foulkes looks like he would be eaten alive on a flat wicket. Still though, you're right that...

Gee those dropped catches are horrible. Attack looks a bit NZ dibbly dobbler once the shine is off and the pitch settles down.

I didn't think we'd have someone so naturally hilarious looking as Trent Boult again but good to see we've replaced him with a like for like.

He's a multi-millionaire doing an illegal dangerous drug while charging the public like $75 for a non-title fight that he hasn't prepared for. Keeping in mind a large chunk of his fan base in NZ and Samoa are working class aspirational people who see him as an idol.

The guy has never been a professional. He has never ever been match fit. No amount of good church boy propaganda will change that. He chose for his strength and conditioning coach an instagram hollywood personal trainer broscientist with zero qualifications. In his younger life he said he...

That was a very good stoppage IMO. Wasn't punching back or clinching. Parker needs to have a chat with his wife and kids and retire. He is done. The issue was never skillset or even defense IMO. It's fitness. He has never, in his entire career, managed to maintain a high enough output to...

I'm actually getting quite hyped for this fight. It's a great style match up. Parker is often in stinkers but he won't find Fabio hard to hit and there's a really nice dynamic of skill and experience vs power and youth. Lot of risk for both guys too.

There was a period following the GGG rematch where he was definitely an elite fighter and he had his particular method but he has always had limitations, and he's definitely got more and more slow of foot lately and I can't remember the past time he threw anything other than single shots. This...

Good fight IMO. I have doubted Fabio Wardley every step of the way but the reality is that power matters in the heavyweight division moreso than any other. Wins over Justis Huni, David Adeleye and Fraser Clarke look pretty good. People bring up Huni dominating that fight but 34 year old Joseph...

It's just embarrassing for everyone involved. Like what an embarrassment for the promoter. You can't market any of your own stars for a profit so you have to dig out an old man to sell your tickets. Just sad sad times for American boxing.
