    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

Albert Esterhysen destroyed VIC 2nd's today with 7 wickets. He looked good in those one day games so can't be too far away from a Shield debut. https://play.cricket.com.au/match/d3f3f4dc-ef7f-40fb-8e8f-b63306080754/victoria-western-australia-toyota-second-xi?tab=scorecard

*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

I believe O'Neill sits around 120-125 kmph from various BBL speed guns I've seen. From memory Philander was 125-130 kmph towards the end of his career but was 130-135 kpmh when he first arrived in tests. It's possible O'Neill has improved (or is at least trying to) his speeds recently.

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

Maddinson and Tremain are both playing cricket for the NSW 2nd's at the moment. A duck for Maddo and no wickets for Tremain so far :(. Weibgen played the QLD v NSW OD game and then slotted into the QLD innings the next day...

Marnus with another century. Can't see how you leave him out of the ashes at this point.

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

I'd say he's a lock for this entire season. Marketing alone will keep him in the side and he will probably have a few decent performances in limited overs to fuel the hype train. I think NSW would drop him down the order before dropping him completely. Will be interesting to see if he gets...

In Marnus' head he's in direct competition with Green and Webster as an all rounder. This is his audition.

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

Considering Konstas' technique (staying legside of the ball etc.) during his U19 days it's impressive that he's been able to adjust his game so much in such a short amount of time and not revert back and still achieve the success he has. Lachlan Hearne scored his first Shield Century as well. I...

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

Given the issues with Cummins fitness, Hazlewood's recent injury history and Cameron Green only just returning to bowling (and very little of it so far) I think Webster has to stay in the side assuming he is fit as well. Having both Green and Webster as bowling options might help reduce fatigue...

*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

I suspect that was likely long term planning though. Neser's in the same age range as the pace quartet so he's unlikely to be around for long (if at all) when they all start retiring. In the unlikely event that Abbot or Doggett were needed for those tours (Boland was the real backup) it would...

    2025–26 Australian Domestic Season

I believe the comms said it was a hamstring injury :(. In other news Cameron Green's catching is as good as ever this game. If not for Khawaja we could have a near ATG cordon with him, Webster and Smith.

Apparently he walked off with the physio but he's back batting now so can't be too bad.
