Essex Take Gamble On Tudor

Alex Tudor has resurrected his cricketing career after agreeing terms on a one-year contract with Essex.

Alex Tudor now 27 has had a stop start cricketing career due to numerous niggling injuries, but Essex have taken the gamble on those now being behind the former England pace bowler.

His former club Surrey released Tudor after turning out for them just once in the County Championship campaign in 2004.

Tudor when on the field has been a consistent performer taking 280 wickets @ 28.24 in 92 matches, Tudor also a handy lower order batsman has scored 2,041 runs @ 21.94 with a high score of 116.
