Vaughan returns to action

England captain Michael Vaughan will return to action, after being cleared to make his season debut in the English County circuit, before Bangladesh visit the country prior to the Ashes.

Vaughan, who is the only England contracted player to not have played a single county match this season, will be playing in Yorkshire’s next week’s C&G Trophy match against Ireland.

Vaughan played only four one-day matches last English county season

Meanwhile, Graham Thorpe, Marcus Trescothick, Ashley Giles, Andrew Strauss and Steve Harmison will take part in this weekend’s Totesport League matches; also, the injured duo of Andrew Flintoff and Mark Buthcer will play more as they recover, and make their way back to full fitness.
