Tuffey looks at ICL

Daryl Tuffey looks set to join the rebel Indian Cricket League within the next few days in what is said to be an “attractive offer”.

Chris Cairns, Nathan Astle, Chris Harris and Hamish Marshall have all signed for the league already while Craig McMillan is continuing to discuss his future with New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan.

Tuffey told stuff.co.nz that “I’m leaning towards (signing). It’s the money and a bit of security. Nothing’s guaranteed with New Zealand Cricket, even the money you get playing domestic cricket back home. You’ve got to start looking after No1 at some point.”

Tuffey last played for New Zealand during the World Cup earlier this year against Canada taking 0-40 from six overs before heading home with injury.
