Trott joins Bell on sidelines

Jonathan Trott has joined Ian Bell on the sidelines after being hit on the left hand while batting in the nets and will undergo an x-ray to see the full extend of the injury.

The ECB confirmed that Bell had suffered a groin injury while undertaking fielding practice yesterday.

A statement from the ECB read “Ian Bell underwent an ultrasound scan today and has a minor grade one tear to his left groin following fielding practice on Monday. He’ll continue to be assessed.”

England play two Twenty20 internationals against the West Indies on 28th and 29th of June followed by three one-day internationals on July 1st, July 4th and July 7th.
