Tait out, Hilfenhaus in

Speedster Shaun Tait has been ruled out of the Australian squad for the first Test against Sri Lanka at Brisbane next week with an elbow injury.

The injury prevented Tait from traveling to India for Australia?s successful one-day series last month, but was back on track for an international recall and named in the squad for the first Test before the injury flared up again.

“It’s disappointing for Shaun to have suffered a slight aggravation to his elbow in the lead-up to the first Test,” the Australian chairman of selectors said.

Exciting prospect, Ben Hilfenhaus has been named in his place after the Tasmanian had a stellar First Class season last year, taking 60 wickets for his state.
