Styris fit for Champions Trophy

New Zealand allrounder Scott Styris has been declared fully fit for the upcoming Champions Trophy in India.

As reported on Cricket Web over the past fortnight, Styris returned from England with a back injury, which he has had treatment on.

Black Caps coach John Bracewell told Newstalk ZB that Styris is fit to resume batting and bowling after responding well to treatment.

Styris came through an increased workload to test his fitness over the past several days with no setbacks.

New Zealand’s Champions Trophy campaign starts on 16th October when they play South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium.
