Sinclair offered NZC contract

New Zealand Cricket have offered Mathew Sinclair a national contract as a replacement for Hamish Marshall who joined Gloucestershire as a local player, which rules him out of consideration for further Black Caps call ups.

Sinclair has until Friday 29th June to decide whether to take up the contract or not.

Sinclair had said earlier this month that he was disappointed to miss out on a contract and was looking into playing in England, Australia or South Africa.

New Zealand’s busier than usual Test schedule with the Black Caps scheduled to play 13 Tests over the next 18 months gives Sinclair who is seen as a test specialist the chance to earn plenty of match fees on the top of his base contract salary should he accept the contract.
