Shaun Tait to make ODI debut

Shaun Tait will make his one-day international debut against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday replacing Brett Lee, while Stuart Clark has been named ahead of Mitchell Johnson.

Brad Hodge has been bracketed with Ricky Ponting with the Australian captain suffering a sore hip placing him in doubt for the match.

On the England front, Michael Vaughan will miss the match along with James Anderson who is returning home due to back trouble.

Ed Joyce is set to continue at the top of the order telling the BBC that “this series has been about proving myself and if I can get a score in the last two games I will have done all I can.”

Joyce went onto say “opening suits the way I play a little bit better, I feel a lot happier. The other day I felt very comfortable.”
