Ponting & Australia take charge

Ricky Ponting has surged to one of the highest individual ratings of all-time while Australia continues to dominate in the ICC Test & ODI Championships.

On the back of Ponting’s two hundreds in the recent second Test victory over South Africa he has gone to 937 points, which only seven other players in the history of the game have passed. Sir Donald Bradman tops the list of all-time highest ranked players.

Muttiah Muralitharan continues to top the bowling rankings with Shane Warne over-taking Glenn McGrath and claiming second place.

If Australia manage to clean-sweep the current test series over South Africa, it will give Australia a commanding 18 point lead over England who sit in second place in the Test Championship.
