Nel and Zondeki for 2nd Test

Andre Nel and Monde Zondeki make their way back into the South African Test side to face Zimbabwe, as Pollock and Ntini rest out the second Test. South Africa thrashed their African counterparts within two days in the first match.

Nel’s last Test match for South Africa was the fifth against touring England, when he took 6 wickets in the first innings after returning to cricket from a serious back injury. Zondeki has not featured internationally since South Africa’s tour of England in 2003. He was wicketless on debut, but scored 59 with the bat to help rescue South Africa from 142/7.

The other change from the first Test squad sees Andrew Hall released to participate in a crucial domestic fixture.
