Martin Crowe Rejected

Martin Crowe’s application to NZC to join the selection panel has been rejected following a perceived personality clash with coach John Bracewell.

Crowe was told by New Zealand Cricket that he was “wasting his time” and would not be granted an interview. Crowe went on to say that any talk of a personality clash was absurd and NZC should move on from that.

Crowe’s role as a cricket commentator for SkyTV has seen him criticise Bracewell’s selections and tactics, especially around Bracewell’s apparent overshadowing of captain Stephen Fleming.

With Ross Dykes and Brian McKechnie both stepping down from the current selection panel there are two positions that need filling with one likely to go to current Otago coach Glenn Turner.
