Jon Lewis called up as cover

Jon Lewis has been called up as cover for Andrew Flintoff for the next two one-day internationals after Flintoff suffered knee problems during the second one-day international at Bristol.

Flintoff who has just returned from his third operation on his left ankle suffered stiffness in his right knee team doctors said and will be monitored ahead of the third match.

Flintoff has had a good return to international taking 1-12 from seven overs, and 5-56 from 10 overs in the two one-dayers to date. While with the bat, he made nine in the second one-dayer.

Jon Lewis last played for England in January 2007 against New Zealand in Adelaide as apart of the Commonwealth Bank series. Lewis has played 12 one-day internationals for an average of 25.70 and an economy rate of 3.99.
