Mills is six foot five and hits the deck hard on a perfect length. He doesn't need pace.

You're right though, he's a master of finding the right length for the day within a few balls.

Southee has been pretty average apart from the england game. He does not look threatening and slso looks very hittable atm.

Yeah Mills for Southee would ideal, been very average since the England game, hope I am wrong but I also have a feeling he will go for plenty.

Me too. Thought I was the only one feeling this way. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see Australia really picking on Southee & they'll be nowhere to hide.

This "drop Southee" rubbish is the same knee-jerking, short-term thinking, panic-fueled foolery as the calls to drop Guptill and Taylor earlier. You don't drop class, we should have learned that by now.

Yeah, I did say I was 75% trolling & 25% serious Truth be told I'd still probably stick with Southee (mainly since Mills hasn't had any game time at all), but I am genuinely concerned he's going to get a spanking.

However had Mills had some game time in the WC & had been bowling as well as he did against Pakistan in early Feb, I'd be mighty tempted to look at the horses for courses approach.

Really hope he doesn't play. Don't want NZ's WC win to have a question mark over it when he eventually gets banned for chucking later on.

    Dropping southee is absolutely ridiculous.

He's guaranteed to pick up 5 tomorrow.

    ummmm....

After the England game Southee was completely awful. It's almost inconceivable that Mills could have been any worse.
