Definitely not India, Australia or New Zealand for obvious reasons.

Could tolerate South Africa winning it, they're next most likely. Don't particularly like Pakistan. Bangladesh and West Indies have about as much chance as England so no point going there.

Litigation, mainly.

Johnny foreigner seems to have forgotten the fact that we invented this game. England by any reasonable stretch of the imagination owns the legal rights to the cricketing laws, equipment and most importantly, lexicon. Good luck playing your stupid quarter finals without 'wickets', 'overs', or 'batsmen'. Good luck playing without stumps. WE INVENTED STUMPS. If England can't play any more then it's only fair for us to take our stuff home with us, and the rest of you will be sitting there in the playground wishing you hadn't made us bring mum to get our ball back.
England does seems to be amazingly good at inventing sports which they then proceed to suck at playing. You still have darts, though. No-one is going to overcome your mastery at darts.

Why is New Zealand obvious?
