on that note, at the market this morning all the old men were telling anyone who would listen that there's a storm coming and that they can feel it.*

the weather seemed pretty ok on TV (at least seemed like it might last the match). Has not been any mention on cricinfo either.

Good to see my boy Javed back to business, didn't see the innings but he must have been awesome.

The bloke doesn't have huge talent but he's got ice in his veins. He only bowls 125-130 usually but when the games on the line and he's deep in his final over he can push 138+ even in to the 140s. If his mates could catch he would have 20 wickets by now, they have dropped 2+ a game off him. He's bailed them out with two good knocks as well and he's probably their best fielder.

Associate player of the tournament for me

It's because the weather has been absolutely great. A cyclone is just barreling down on the country and is expected to hit this afternoon.

Isn't it already afternoon?

I think it's expected to hit much later than the afternoon, latest forecast suggest it will hit the top part of the North Island between 10pm- midnight & the Bay around 3-5am tomorrow morning.

Ok so 36.2 overs is the magic number the WI need to chase down the 176 for victory to get their NRR higher than Pakistan's hence ensuring their place in the quarter.

Yeah the Cyclone hasn't hit top of the North Island yet, so the Bay should be safe for at least 6-8 hours.
May need to slow the run rate down a little before that!

Gayle must be raging that he is missing out on padding his stats v U.A.E.

End of the line for Dwayne with Charles back, let him partner Gayle for the next game.

WI's first target should be to make sure UAE bowl 20 overs, idk what the whether conditions are or even if whether is a threat at this point, but WI gotta make sure this game gives a direct result. Getting this target within 36 or w/e overs should be super easy.

Is there a more frustrating cricketer than Marlon Samuels? Seriously, there's no in between with him. He either looks like the embodiment of Viv or the new Chris Martin. It's a ****ing joke.
