Taylor looks really good. Conditions probably help but he's moving it about, got it in decent areas, etc.

Can someone explain to me why the commentators keep saying that Australia will finish Third if it's a washout?

from what I can see a no result would give Australia 1 point, put them equal with Sri Lanka and Australia have a far better net run-rate. Wouldn't they finish second regardless?

Wins come before NRR in event of a tiebreak, so Australia will only have 3 wins with a washout, Sri Lanka have 4.

This rain shouldn't hang around for too long though, if the BOM isn't lying to me.

I can see that rule sort of making sense, very harsh on a team like Australia that keeps getting washouts against Minnows though.

Not that who you play in the quarter-finals really makes much difference IMO. The top 5-6 teams are all pretty much even chance in knockouts.
