Points for using his nickname in the title. I've tried to spread it here before with little success.

No points for the actual post content. O'Brien FTW.

Broad V Saffa was the best bowling performance of the cup and I'm not willing to negotiate on that

Got pelters from Pak fans on here to suggest he not Shoaib should be playing in this WC... Riaz is expensive, wayward, swings the ball on ad-hoc basis but he takes wickets, bowls at a good lick and has a good tank. Pak's Mitchell Johnson.

I made that comparison ages ago; don't steal it from me.

Didn't just take wickets but beat the outside edge of Kohli, Sachin and Dhoni's bat an insane number of times as well. Bowled quite superbly. Commentators said he was bowling 92 mph+.

He was quick and frighteningly accurate for the most part.

I've used that line a few times on here. Pak in NZ tour thread being the first time. If I didn't have a job + a life I could validate who used the expression first.

I've got South Africa in Dubai:

*Official* Pakistan v South Africa in Dubai

Which was before NZ.

I still don't think he's a genuine match winner and is a very one dimensional bowler who had a great day yesterday.I would be pleasantly surprised if he proves me wrong in the long run.

Wasim has been working with him, so yes I think he will prove you wrong. According to Wasim he is capable of Swinging the new ball with good control. I'm sorry Salman I would rather go with Wasim this time.

As an ODI bowler, He reminds me of an early 00s Waqar. Fast, Can bowl ****e but has a knack for taking wickets and taking more than one wicket in the same spell. Also, can swing the ball Irish consistently - unlike Mitchell. Definitely thought he had similarities to Mitchell Johnson as a test bowler though right from Dubai even though I reckon Wahab has potential to become a much better test bowler than Johners ever will be. It's easy to miss how seriously fast he is too. Looks a serious talent and I now really wish the jacket incident did not happen as I quite like the guy otherwise. He looks pretty awesome too.

So the Mitchell Johnson comparison gains even more validity? Just needs one random series in SA where he manages to swing the ball into the right-hander and one home ground where he guns it once a year in Tests for people to start wondering when cloning was invented without anyone realizing.
