Andrew Symonds used to do blind training too, most notably before the loss to Bangladesh back in 2005.

Maybe taking advantage of 3rd and final PowerPlay is reason for blind training. Sachin in current form is awesome, easily scoring 100s. India choked twice in this WC against SA and ENG in PPs. Other plays practice hard to play proper cricketing shots, Sachin's priorities are clearly differant ....
