Would south africa

Want to lose to bangladesh to make sure one of the big teams get out of the world cup, England, india, west indies. They could avoid one of these teams in semi final and final.

Nah, I don't think they will. No team loses deliberately.

I don't see how losing to them gives them an advantage of any sort. It's teams from Group A that would face Bdesh if they were to make it not SA. And Bdesh would most likely lose in the quarters to a team from Group A. So no point.

That's true, but it could give them an easier quarter-final draw (New Zealand instead of Pakistan).

Soon as you think about losing, or fielding weakened sides, it can effect the momentum that the team have been building up. A risk not worth taking as SA will fancy themselves against anyone in the tournament.

That's not losing deliberately.

No, it isn't.

But I would hope that for a semi-intelligent being like yourself, it gets my point across without me having to cause any offence.

I reckon to show this pic and with that implying SA would potentially do that is offensive enough for mine.

Poor taste really ....

I wasn't implying SA would throw the match. Just taking issue wirh the 'no team would ever do it' statement.

In that case, wouldn't this have been a better picture?
