    Either in Colombo or Mirpur.

I guess that NZ would prefer Colombo and SA would prefer Mirpur?
Hey man, which team do you support? SA? SL?

For as long as there is limited overs cricket - of ten, twenty or fifty overs - there will remain the Sri Lankan spinners' mid-innings choke

India should probably play Zaheer as the sole fast bowler from now on with 40 overs of spin bowling. Disgusted with the rest of the ****s.

imagine playing on a green top with 4 spinners
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

That would be awesome to watch, especially if the batting side is Sri lanka

Scenario 1: If India beat West Indies

India will take second place, behind South Africa, on nine points, while England will be third and West Indies fourth. West Indies will finish with the same points as Bangladesh, but they are so far ahead on net run-rate that Bangladesh cannot catch up even if West Indies lose by a huge margin. The quarter-finals:

Pakistan v West Indies - Mirpur
    Australia v India - Ahmedabad (March 24)
New Zealand v South Africa - Mirpur
Sri Lanka v England - Colombo (March 26)

I think the winner of the first quarter-final plays the winner of the third one.The winner of the second quarter-final plays the winner of the fourth one.

Don't tell me we could be playing Australia again in the semis if they beat India and we beat WI

According to this you're wrong. Makes sense too...why would the semi-finalists play a team they already faced in the group stage?

    Possible semi-final matches :

    Semi-final one

    1) Pakistan vs Australia
    2) Pakistan vs India
    3) West Indies vs Australia
    4) West Indies vs India

    Semi-final two

    1) New Zealand vs England
    2) New Zealand vs Sri Lanka
    3) South Africa vs England
    4) South Africa vs Sri Lanka

Haha, business is about to pick up.

Well.. it did happen with a similar format in '96. Let's say all four members of one group qualify for the semis (as in '96) how would you prevent it from happening?

I hope this is the correct one. Would rather play Sri Lanka or England than Pakistan in this kind of form. Of course there's the small matter of beating the defending champions before that.
