South Africa look powerless to prevent India from scoring boundaries at will. Smith needs to rethink his strategies and stick to the plans, rely on the bowlers to start hitting the right areas consistently and have the field set for good bowling. Not easy admittedly against these two on this pitch.

Yeah that's the thing. You just don't know how to bowl to these two like this on such a docile track.

Reminds me a bit of the Australia vs South Africa game from the last WC. Completely different bowling attack, but semi-final preview between two contenders where SA got blown out of the water in the first 15 overs.

Was only 102 after 14 in that one though.

Honestly I think SA's best chance might be to make these two run lots and make them tired, and hence lose their timing.

Because they don't look like getting out.

Um what's the difference when you take it? If you wait you're taking a risk that the batsmen might be new or you may not have many wickets left. Righ now, the reason you are doing well is cause of the PP so why not keep it going? Why risk your momentum by not being able to hit boundaries?
