I think so. Some really good close games, upsets, etc. And fun blowouts too (e.g WI vs Ban).

With that said, the bad tournament format has sabotaged some of the fun. The upsets and close games would have been even more exciting if a lot was riding on every game.

Agreed, this is the best world cup since 1999 (though that's not saying much), but a bit more riding on the pool games would've made it even better.

Yeah, has been pretty good so far, except for the group A minnow games.
