"It is not as if we have to win tomorrow because we will have three more matches, but a win will surely take us a step forward."
Yeah, definately harsh on Shakib. Someone clearly asked him if this is a "must-win match" or something, he's only telling it like it is. Yet another headline cut off at the word "but".

Bangladesh team
Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Mushfiqur Rahim†, Shakib Al Hasan*, Raqibul Hasan, Mohammad Ashraful, Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain
West Indies team
CH Gayle, DS Smith, DM Bravo, RR Sarwan, S Chanderpaul, KA Pollard, DC Thomas†, DJG Sammy*, NO Miller, SJ Benn, KAJ Roach

Roach gets the wicket of Tamim in the first over!

Massssive wicket. Now Bangers need Shakib to score something or else their chances are very slim.

Hmm. Not really sure who I want to win. Prescient post from Woodster re: Tamim.

I'd be seriously worried about the Windies bowling if I were them. Roach is a proven matchwinner on his day but it may be too much to ask of him to consistently carry the attack at his age.

Roach, Sammy and Miller were all part of the side that was hammered at home to Bangladesh two years ago, and Bangladesh have got much stronger since.

Batting will be far and away their strength. Gayle or Pollard, or both, having an "on" day will take the game away from Bangladesh, while Sarwan and Chanderpaul are experienced enough not to have problems working around the plethora of finger spinners.

Could well be close, though West Indies will start as favourites.

If either side win, they will back themselves to get out of the group with two out of three wins in the bag and matches against the Netherlands (Bangladesh) or Ireland (WI) coming up. The losing side will look to make up for it by taking on England, but will find themselves in a very difficult position.
To be fair, both Miller and Roach have improved considerably since then....

In any case, it was the batting that was the Windies weakness in that strike-ravaged team.

Sammy gets the second wicket! Quite poignant that the two 'scabs' are the ones to take the wickets so far....

You can't read anything into those games. The Windies were led by Floyd Reifer! It was a Windies Z side and guys like Roach were so green.

Bangers' batting looks pretty weak. Just made it weaker by not dropping Ashrafool. wac.
