World Cup betting

Don't see much value there. Maybe New Zealand with the intention of hedging if they make the final. They're not in Bangladesh's group so the quarters are almost guaranteed, and at that stage they won't be a big underdog against anyone in a one-off match.
What does Pakistan 9/1 mean? Does it mean that if I bet 1 pound on Pakistan and Pakistan win the match then I get 9 pounds from these betting sites or so?

I don't have much spare cash at the moment, so my betting has been very quiet this World Cup.

I do have money on Wahab Riaz to be the leading wicket taker though. He was paying $34.
Wahab Riaz has an impressive SR I believe. He picked up 3 wickets in the practice match too. He does seem to have a lot of talent especially a very good yorker.

India are twice as favoured to win as anyone else? Can't agree with that.. Pakistan look a pretty decent bet at those odds..
Yea, that doesn't make any sense. Yea, spin is good and batting will come good much more often than not but our fielding is below par (matters more in ODIs) and to call the fast bowling massively inconsistent would be a compliment. Even on their good day, it is mediocre sans Zaheer (and he's not a great ODI bowler either).

I'm not saying India shouldn't be one of the favorites, but...twice as much as anyone is totally overrating them. Even if the whole WC was played in India that'd be overrating them, but they have to play in other countries - and SL is fantastic in their home. Would you make India the favorites to win a quarter or semi final in Sri Lanka vs Sri Lanka? I wouldn't....

India fell to $3.60 favourite. LAY the **** out of that fellas. I just did.

Now if India lose I win a ****load of cash, and if they win, glory :D

Agree completely. Wouldn't be surprised either if Harbhajan was brilliant throughout the group stage and had a massive off-day in a knockout game, spearing balls down the legside. Our attack depends more on him than Zaheer in these conditions. If he comes in to bowl at 70-0 in a knockout game, I could really see him struggling.

India will play all their games at home from here onwards, including the knock-out ones!

Actually you'd get £10 back. £9 + your original £1 stake.

V much doubt you'll get 9/1 on Pakistan in any single game tho.

I put $20 on Mitchell Johnson for most wickets at the start of the WC. Feeling pretty good about that now.

Also threw 5 on Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and Ireland to win their games a few days ago.

As in a multi? If so bad luck because that would have paid pretty good.

Obviously Pakistan still haven't won yet, but had Ireland got up, that would have set up tomorrow's game nicely.

What sportsbook are you guys using?
My ****ing book removed cricket lines. Last minute scramble to find US servicing books with cricket lines.
Tough too, I have accounts with most of the reputable books and no luck.

If ever there was a reason for me to hate republicans more...

I personally use Betfair for 99% of my online betting.
Betfair is an exchange right?
Anyway it is US blocked, I use an exchange called matchbook for my NFL,NBA and MLB, best lines.
Found a couple of good old regular books, only moneyline with none of those fancy stuff. Sucks.

Trott is paying almost $70 to be the top England scorer in the tournament. Obviously he's a fair way behind Strauss but **** me they are ridiculously generous odds. No reason not to throw a couple of bucks on that IMO.

If Strauss goes cheap against Ireland you'd back Trott to get himself within touching distance in that one. Generous.
