With PEWS gone (knew he would chicken out once he figured I would bring my A game to this), we have 13 teams. If a couple out of Cevno, weldone, weeman27bob, M0rphin3 and kingkallis could pair up, we'd have a nice 12 teams. All upto you now, kingkallis.

I think the people not wanting to team up aren't realising how tough it'll be to make regular picks on a 6 hour per pick schedule. You could easily lose out on 3 or 4 good players if you happen to be offline for the duration of your window.
Oh right, thought we could do 14, which was why I was hanging on at the back.

So if anyone is after someone in an English style timezone, feel free to get in contact.

More than that, it means people won't be tempted to pick bit-and-pieces players in the hunt for all-round points, you'd be much more inclined to go for specialists who can get five-fors or hundreds. Which adds some more interesting tactics to it.

Regardless, we need to get this moving quickly and keep it going, so we ought ot keep the script that's already done.
Agree with this.

Was part of a game in the IPL on another forum, and it had doubling of total points of the whole tournament if the SR in one innings was greater than 200 and Halfing of it if SR was less than 100.
Was a similar case for bowlers too.

While it may not be fair ,it makes it exciting.
I am fine either way though.

weeman and weldone should team up.

weldone remains busy lately so I guess it will be good if he agrees to team up with Rob.

If it is ok to have three dudes in a team, weemanbob27 can team up with me and smalishah84 if he wants to.

There are 210 players to chose from.

I guess it will be enough for 13 teams even with the set combinations.

But if we really need to have 12 teams then i am willing to team up with either Bob or Weldone.

Btw,KK I think either you should create a list of all rounder ,batsman and Bowlers specifically or remove the team balance rule.

As their can be many problems in distinction between all rounders, bowlers and batsman. Also there might be not enough say all rounders around to complete all 13 teams.

Btw, even with a 6 hour rule and 12 teams it will be a real stretch to complete it before the world cup if we do not start now.

6 x 11 x 12 / 24 = 33 days.

And that is assuming each pick is actually made in 6 hours time.
And we have what 27 days to go to the world cup.

It is high time we start.

Yeah, I agree. I think we'll finish just in time if everyone's committed. The scorecard draft saw 5.4 picks a day over 40 days. If we start monday and go at the same rate here, we'll be done within 25 days, i.e. by the 17th of February.

So we now have:

1. kingkallis
2. NUFAN & marc71178
3. M0rphin3
4. morgieb & Himmanv
5. Howe_zat & Teja
6. smalishah84 & Blaze18
7. weeman27bob & Cevno
8. Somerset & centurymaker
9. Micheal7777777 & Contra
10. G.I.Joe & Marcuss
11. HeathDavisSpeed & Flyonthewall
12. weldone

I guess we're now waiting on confirmation from kingkallis, weldone and M0rphin3. Ideally we'd have one more participant to complete 12 pairs.
