na man Sri Lanka IMO don't have anything on Australia. The only side that probably could have claimed to have that was South Africa & they were easily put away.

to be honest i dont think Murali was enjoying his time in Australia much at all..

I was at this game. Although Murali did go for 99 that day, his bowling was OK....its just that everything that Ponting and Symonds hit came off...and quite a few mi****s landed in no mans land.

SL were leading the finals 1-0. At one stage, SL had Aus 10-3....then around 15/3, Ponting was caught by Mahela at gully. But a referral to the third ump gave the usual inconclusive response, and that was that...... Symonds and Ponting then slowly got Aus back into the game with some good attacking cricket.

Sri Lanka are more likely to test Australia than SOuth Africa.

The South AFricans were massively overrated....they won 4 consecutive series in friendly confditions at home and were ranked world number 1 ????

Sri Lanka pushed Australia pretty hard in the VB series, hammered England in Engalnd, drew away in New Zealand and pushed India pretty hard away without Vaas and Murali.
They were alawys going to be more competitive than the Saffies.
