Well, AUS has won the Cup twice in a row... but I think they will get totally trashed by either South Africa or New Zealand.

But it is hard to tell though , all four teams are among the best in the world.
The Semi-finals and finals aer gonna be extremely popular and interesting.

It would be foolish to underestimate any of Australia's opponents and i'm 100% sure Ponting & his men aren't, but the way they are playing, plus the fact the a lot of the main XI have experience of playing in WC semi-finals & finals before should give them the edge againts any side they come up againts.

first of all, I am not underestimating. Second , you are agreeing to what I just said about the teams.

History suggests you need to be as much lucky as hungry to succeed. Sri Lanka might just have got that blessing..

Although it's insane to predict, I'll stick my neck out and say that Srilanka have a good chance to win this world cup 2007. I'm very interested in how Proteas will handle Aussies in semifinal tie, because if Graeme Smith & co can bat first and make over 300 - Ponting's men will struggle to chase. I may underestimate Kiwi batting line-up, but a Srilanka vs South Africa final is how I see this first caribbean world cup going.

But they are playing on a very slow pitch. I'm not too sure 'bout the 300 run statement...

Where is everyone's money for the Semis then?

I am going for Australia and Sri Lanka. Obvious choices I know but both are peaking at the right time it seems.

For those that don't like the thought of Marshall playing ahead of McMillan, do you believe that NZ has a major problem at #3 with Taylor?

I hope you're all right, otherwise NZ will need Styris to stop the collapse.

I'm picking NZ to be 10/2 if we are asked to bat first in the semi; Fleming and Taylor out early.

And if Taylor falls cheap and NZ manage to win the semi, then what? It would be too late to bring in Marshall then.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Marshall is in great form either.
