Three Aussie bowlers have now got 20 wickets in the tournament. People talk about the top order, but the attack has really fired all through the Cup to date.

Nel has a sore hand from copping one in the nets apparently. Time for Tait to hone in on that...

Yeah, such a blatant choke. Not a term I'm all that keen on, but South Africa were so obviously keen to "dominate" Australia today, and there's no way it was necessary under the circumstances. Smith and Kallis both got out playing huge pre-meditated swings, and Kallis' was particularly bad given that they'd already lost a wicket and there was no need for another boundary anyway. So un-Kallis like, and so stupid.

Either they were brain explosions caused by nerves, or the strength of the Australian batting and the occasion (and perhaps the comments to the media before the game) led SA to aim way too high in terms of the scoring rate.

Shocking batting anyway, South Africa really should have been happy to get through the early period and aim for 250 odd. With decent bowling, that's certainly defendable, but whatever crap they end up with here won't be.

There is a valid argument for removing ODI status from all teams except Australia...

Australia could get 10 overs' batting before tea - in which case they might do to South Africa what the Saffies did to England.
