The standard of posting in the World Cup forum has been attrocious to be honest, too many of these crappy ass polls and not enough decent discussion.

I am huge Aussie fan and i would love to see Aussies win the WC, but don't you guys think that Aussies would first have to win the semi-finals before thinking about finals.

Because semis itself is a knock-out match so if the Aussies are anything below their best on that given day they could get eliminated, but i expect and wish that won't happen.

Agreed. I don't think it's a given that Australia will be in the final. If they play their best cricket I don't think they will be beaten, but you can't rule out one of the many stars from the other countries producing an awesome innings or bowling spell and tip Australia out.

not even gonna vote....this poll doesnt deserve to be on this site given how you just assume the aussies will be in the final. fair chance they will make the semis but from there anything can happen.

I reakon Australia, WI, RSA and Sri Lanka will make the semi's - WI to beat the Kiwi's now that Vincent is gone.

That's just one the first page, keeping in mind I didn't refer to the two betting threads that probably should have been merged. Then whole threads for things as Vincent's injury and the target for Bangladesh vs Bermuda that could have been merged into the official threads. Posting has been incredibly poor I feel.

i agree with you for all of that except vincents injury deserves its own thread, which shows by the like 5 pages spent talkin on it and it was big news in context of the world cup for nz so i think that deserves its own thread but yep agree with you about the rest.

Don't agree really. They may not be of the greatest standard but there's nothing horrible about them either. Defintley not attrocious nor appalling.
