oh dear....oh good god...oh dear...

I am so angry, and so sad, and so horrified, and so furious.

(this puts everything in a different light, including this current tournament)

Beggars belief.

Just... why?

EDITED: probably not appropriate comment from a Staff Member... but boy, am I angry.

As it should. Let the police do their job and the players theirs.

Exactly. I certainly don't see this as a security risk for the rest of the teams.

No, and agreed that the WC should go ahead as planned.

However, it does seem dirtied and unclean.

Ditto. Though they should probably dedicate the cup to him?

This is terrible tbh. The suffering of the family members will only get worse.

Not good although not unexpected. You have to wonder about the security really allowing what happened.

Not much else to say really other than lets hope they catch whoever is responsible.

Well as the organisers planned it'll certainly be one of the most remembered tournaments.

It was reported here a day or two ago that (at least) one South African player wanted the whole thing called off if it was confirmed that he was murdered.
