Ponting looking like a million bucks again. When was the last time he batted and didn't look like making a century? Freakish form the last 18 months.

Got a feeling he'll make a big one today, anyway. Missed out against South Africa, after all.

When Punter plays that shot early in his innings all i can say is opposition beware.

EDIT: HAYDOS PICKING UP SOME PACE TWO 4'S IN A ROW.

The likelihood of Hayden playing a premeditated lofted shot growing by the moment. One would hope the West Indies fielders are up for the chance if it comes.

EDIT: That teaches me to start a post and finish it 5 minutes later...

Its been 11 years since Ponting has scored a century against West Indies so today seems to be the day to change that.

This probably the best odi cricket i have seen Matty Hayden play after 01 Indian tour.

CricInfo going insane. First reporting 3 consecutive boundaries to Hayden (reflecting it in Taylor's bowling figures) then reporting that only Ponting was at the crease (implying Hayden was out), then adjusting to reality.

He has a poor record in general against the West Indies, so it's more than just the prospect of a century.

Cricbuzz had Hayden on four consecutive fours at last check, seems neither one can get it right.
