Do England really need a wicketkeeper per se?
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

    Nixon makes me cry.

I'd probably go with Prior if I was picking the side. But I've only seen him keep once and I've only seen him bat two or three times so it's hard to judge.

Read. Especially if Dalrymple is batting at 8, as is happening in this current line-up. Push Read to 8, Dal'e to 7.

Dalrymple is a fair bit better than a number 9. Or a number 8 for that matter.

    The Everton midfielder? Interesting move.

Not quite sure he would do worse, mind.

Nixon will be retired by the world cup.

What does he contribute to the team apart from very large vocal chords?

Alec Stewart tbh, he's still better than any other option we have

Failing that, bring Cook into the side to keep.
