It is widely regarded that batting second (under lights) is more difficult than batting in daylight, something particularly evident at the last World Cup (South Africa 2003), when the ball swung sideways at night.Originally Posted by rawowl

Hence the ICC were reluctant to schedule any day/nighters this time around.Originally Posted by steds

RIP Craigos. A true CW legend. You will be missed.

As far as I'm aware none of the West Indies' grounds have lights, so day/night games are pretty much impossible. I don't think it has much to do with the swinging ball.

when i was Barbados i heard every ground in the caribbean will have lights & a few day/night games will be played.
I prefer Day/Night games. Sitting down with a drink in the night there is nothing better. And with day games you are at school or work and you get home and it is all finished!!
Dang, I like Day/Nighters.
The ball might swing more, but I suppose that simply puts more importance on the toss of the coin. The class teams should still walk away the victors.
