Sri Lankan moanings

Why did they decide to wait until now to moan about the ruling regarding Run Rate?

And then they try and change the rules!

They've decided that the rules agreed before the Tournament aren't fair with regards splitting sides on level points.

If it's a 4-way tie (SA, Ken, SL, NZ) - SA and Ken have 2 wins, and SL and NZ 1 each, so SA and Ken through and NZ beat SL on run rate.

They don't like that, and nearly pulled out of today's game in protest.

That would really have helped their cause though, wouldn't it?!

That's a ridiculous attitude to adopt at this stage of the first round. If they hadn't suffered that shock defeat to Kenya and had already qualified, you wouldn't have heard a whisper from them about unfair methods and practices. Pure hypocrisy.

All right - they pulled off a classic tie (one of those big Kipper types we used to wear in the 1970's)

They didn't actually win.
Yeah, I meant classic tie and in the end a victorious period because they're now in the super six.

Atapatu and DeSilva pulled off a great comeback! :wow:

I see thanks for that Marc - still haven't heard anything from elsewhere.

SL have a tendency to be like that - remember Ranatunga? The incident with Stewart in that ODI in Australia? When Murali got called for chucking? The finger pointing incident with Atherton two years ago?
