WCC Academy Awards Night

The WCC Academy Awards were ast night announced at a Gala ball in Melbourne's Crown Casino.

The awards were as follows:

4D Batsman of the Year - U Haylett (Botham's XI)
4D Bowler of the Year - R Ezard (Bradman XI)

1D Batsman of the Year - Z Roberts (Sobers XI)
1D Bowler of the Year - R Ezard (Bradman XI)

Manager of the Year - Aust_Hitman

Also announced was each team's best player, which are as follows:

Border XI: Z Gratrix
Botham XI: U Haylett
Bradman XI: R Ezard
Flower XI: P Marsden
Gavaskar XI: C Evans
Hadlee XI: D Cowe
Imran Khan XI: F Hammett
Pollock XI: J Jenkins
Ranatunga XI: W Denny
Sobers XI: Z Roberts

As manager of Border XI, i am honered to take this award. However i am a little surprised about Gratrix getting player of the year for our team, i would of thought Cole posed more of a threat to opposing teams, however his 1D let him down, so fair enough
