well nsw travelled to england to play warwickshire whom both teams where riding on 4 points and a much needed win would do the best for both sides.

nsw got off to a terrific start and lost there 1st wicket @ 78, when brad haddin went for 33(51). that was the only wicket they would loose and the nsw batsmen batted there way to a very nice total of 1 - 269 of there 50 overs. mark waugh whom has been starting to hit form hit a magnificent 143*(155) to take the man of the match and put nsw in a great position to win the game, he was well supported by corey richards who has been one of the inform batsmen who finish on 75* (94). the pick of the warwickshire bowlers was m sheikh with 9 overs 3 maidens 1 for 20.

new south wales started there fielding and bowling like they did there batting resticting warwickshire to a low total of 78 all out.

all the bowlers put there hand up in what was just a superb performance with s lee taking 3, mcgrath, b lee & macgill taking 2 each and newcomer into the side thornley getting the other 1 wicket. s lee the standout with the ball, his figures where 5 overs , 3 maidens 3 for 6.

we intervied nsw coach after the game to see what his thoughts where,

yes well we where coming over here very confident, as i said last week when we lost to mumbai in that close game, we played well and i wasnt that dissapointed, and i said we have been winning with not all of our players in good form, but when these top class players do hit fform u better look out and today we proved that with m waugh batting superbly in one of the best knocks i have seen this year, he just batted superb and we now he is tallented enough to do that, and the fielding and bowling once top class. we have been relying on 1 or 2 bowlers to do the work but we really had a very good preperation this week and it showed with our performance on the field today.

very happy with todays performance.

thankyou

well thats was bugssy malone and this is all from fox sports

goodnight

Kent vs ND @ Canterbury

Well after last week's very heavy defeat Kent could only get better (Couldn't they?).

ND won the toss and elected to bat first.

Well in the very first over Rich's decsion to replace B.Trott with M.McCague proved spot on when M.McCague had J.Marshall 0 (2) caught by M.Ealham at mid off with no score on the board. Things didn't get any better for ND when they tried to push the score on a bit and S.Styris 16 (10) paid the price by knocking a simple chance to the bolwer (McCague). ND then consoidated the innings and a fine partnership developed between M.Parlane & M.Bailey before a mix up occured and M.Parlane was run out for 45 (53) and M.Bailey didn't hang around long after that getting trapped in fornt by the inform Ealham for a entertaining 57 from 66 balls. This wicket then signaled the end of the resistance from the ND batting order with wickets falling regularly with only H.Marshall 20 (24) getting going. The final 5 wickets falling for just 23, the man not out was G.Aldridge finishing 5* (9).

ND - 181 all out (38 Overs)

The Kent bolwing was very tight and all the bowlers apart from M.Fleming were rewarded for their hard work. M.McCague bowled excellent on his 1st appearance finishing with figures of 6-3-18-3 Other highlights were M.Ealham's figures of 9-2-45-3.

In reply Kent required just 182 @ 3.64

Kent decided to drop regular opener D.Fulton down to number 8 and allow M.Felming to open the innings in a pinch hitter role and this decsion proved just as critical as the Mc.Cague one as M.Felming blast 59 at a run a ball, allowing the inform R.Key to bulid a more controled innings, however R.Key was beaten by a ball that spin a bit more than normal from D.Vettori going for 24 (25), 49/1. This then bought B.Lara to the middle and after comments by his manager (Players that have done the job thread) Lara thought he should prove him wrong and played a very attacking innings, with Felming falling next after dancing down the track only to miss the ball and was well stumped by the wickie, 2/130. Lara then took control of the innings and continued to pile on the runs for Kent, while J.Hockley scored a 20 (24) relivitly unnoticed untill NZ international S.Styris had him well caught at backward point, 3/172. Just 10 runs short of the target. M.Walker came to the middle to help Lara knock of the few runs required for victory. No real problems were incounted and M.Walker finished 8* (12) and B.Lara the star of the Kent batting finishing 66* from 67 balls.

ND's bowling was not at it's best and just couldn't take the wickets required or keep the runs down, the most econmical figures were 5-21-0 from D.Tuffey and the best figures form a wicket taker were those of S.Styris who took 9-49-1.

Kent - 184/3 (32 overs)

Kent win by 7 Wkts
MOM - B.Lara (Kent)

Summary
ND - 181ao
Kent - 183/3

I would just like to say TBY that iam sorry your last game ended in a loss.

well Queensland traveled to Mumbai for there clash against Mumbai. And i think Mumbai are wishing that Queensland stayed at home.
Mumbai Batting first with a very poor batting performance being all out for 77 of 22 overs.A great bowling performance by N.Hauritz with 4/18 of 5 Overs and S.Muller with 3/20 of 4 overs.
Queensland went into bat for there huge run chase hitting 3 for 78 of 15 overs S.Law the best of the batters with 26 not out...
a great performance by Queensland noe there lead on the table has gone to 4 points they will be hard to catch from here...... :D :D :D

Queensland only have a two point lead. Lancashire are still breathing down their neck and looking forward to gaining revenge! :P

LANCASHIRE v HAMPSHIRE.

Lancashire leapt into second place just two points behind Queensland with a good victory over bottom of the table Hampshire.

Hampshire batted first and put up a reasonably competitive score of 192. R.Smith(54) and N.Johnson(31) were the best of the visiting batsmen whilst all of the Lancashire bowlers impressed in one way or another (A.Flintoff-1/25, P.Martin-3/47, K.Hogg-0/28, G.Yates-3/53, G.Maiden-1/32)

A.Swann, returning from injury scored a marvellous unbeaten 103 to lead the home side to a six wicket victory. He received good support from fellow opener T.Roberts who scored 39 from 41 balls. The victory target was reached with 20 overs to spare!

Lancashire manager GrahamB praised his whole team, saying that although were standout individual performances, all players played a valuable role in the victory.

A.Swann unsurprisingly took the man of the match award. :)

Well a change of coach and a change of fortunes for the South Australian Redbacks.....
Manager Goff was adamant that his players would come back from the daunting trip to Somerset accompanied by the all-important 2 points, and he never let the fans down....
Somerset were favourites for the game and goff selected a very strong team for his 1st game in charge, and it was the bowlers who gave the Redbacks the advantage with a stellar performance from all, but in particular Gillespie, Harrity and McIntyre who destroyed the Somerset Batting line-up.. Somersets International star Andy Flower was the 1st to go for 12 but he was immediatley followed by Bowler, Gillespie missed the Hat-Trick chance but Harrity then chimed in with 2 wickets of his own to have Somerset reeling @ 4 for 48....
For the home team, Burns was strong but he recieved minimal support as the SA bowlers continued their dominance to roll Somerset for a dissapointing 157...
Burns finishing 49*, while Harrity's 4/36 was the best for SA....
In reply SA manager instructed Blewett to save his energy for next week, so he did so making a ominous 13 from 11 before being run out after trying to help the umpire tie his shoelace when he should have been running, Dominance was then asserted by Fitzgerald and Miller as the 2 took the score to 77 before Fitzy edged one to Flower for 39, The rest of the team then played a little game, in an attempt to get the hopes up of the Kent Manager for next weeks face-off, they had a slog-athon while Miller played a very solid innings before being dismissed for 60, In the end the game was pretty close but the South Australians sent out a very stern message to the Kent manager who has already put in his resume for the vacant Northern Districts job expecting a hiding.......

More soon!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

lol very funny :D & I call for the SA manager to be sacked on the grounds of match fixing

WA V Yorkshire-
I felt we finally dominated the game in all 3 aspects and it really was a brilliant bowling performance. After a brilliant 113* from Neil McKenzie the rest fell like pins withe the 2nd highest scorer being 22. K.Harvey bowled brilliantly for 5-41 of 10 and was supported well by Hogg,Martyn and Angel. We bundled them out for 192 ans then set about getting it. It was also the first time our top 3 batsman fired all at the same time with Gilchrist 87*(110 balls),Langer 63(59 and then Hussey in his new position with 33*(49) finished the run chase off in the 37th over which meant a run rate of 5.2 an over. Happy with the all-rounder form of Martyn this season but he needs to keep it up and finally that the boys are starting to listen to me.

Have you ever walked out of a cricket club?

Well, I'm very close after this effort. After having Worcestershire 3-69 they just ****ed all over us and ended up on 3-325, with Hick 122* and Smith 130*.

We thought we could at least show some effort with the bat and bang we were all out. Cox 36, Hills 10 and DiVenuto 12, were the only batsmen to score double figures. With batsmen number 7 through 11 all failing to score we were all out for 80. We lost 8-16 including the final 5 wickets for zip, nada and nil!

WE HAVE TO IMPROVE OR IT IS ALL OVER FOR SEASON ONE!

Worcs 3-325
Tas 10-85

Somerset CCC refuse to comment on any incidents in the South Australia match as they will be shortly submitting a formal complaint to the WCCC board.

Formal Complaint
Somerset CCC does not believe that the CEO of WCCC should be allowed to manage a side. As such, it does not recognise the result of the game at Taunton and would like to point out that its course of action has nothing whatsoever to do with that fact that it lost.
