In a strange turn of events the game between Leics and Kent almost seemed to mirror that of Lancashire vs Victoria.
Copming out to bat first Leics scored at 8 an over, with Lumb scoring 30 off just 9 balls, and Kabir scoring 69 off 58. When Lumb got out with the score on 58, Samaraweera entered the field and proceeded to get 61 off 53 balls, compiling an 80 run partnership with Kabir. Ponting continued his rare form with 1 off 7 however, then Ogden came in with a valuable 24* off 12. When Samaraweera fell, Deitz made to follow the scoring fashion, but was run out after attempting a quick single, scoring 5 off 4, Wright came in and ended up 8* off 7, Leics finishing their innings at 5-200.
This proved too much for Kent, as they sadly crumbled under the pressure, falling for just 70 with no batsman looking particularly comfortable. The pick of the bowlers were Muller with 4-20, and Cunis with 3-6. MOM award went to Muller for his efforts.
Leics coming out on top by 130 runs, and now looking forward to a tough final vs Lancashire.
