Season 8 Player Releases

Prior to the start if the draft the board will be requiring all managers to release 10 players from their squads. These 10 players as usually will be entered into the draft. The following is an example of what is required:

Players Retained:
- Player A
- Player B
- Player C
- Player D
- Player E
- Player F
- Player G
- Player H
- Player I
- Player J
- Player K
- Player L
- Player M
- Player N
- Player O

Players Released:
- Player P
- Player Q
- Player R
- Player S
- Player T
- Player U
- Player V
- Player W
- Player X
- Player Y

All teams will have 9 days from now to announce their player releases. These are required to be in by:

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

*NOTE* changes can be made after trading is finished on Friday

EDIT: Changes

With rookies added in there has been a change to player releases. This means that any manager that released their players before can change their player releases. Each team now can keep a min. of 15 players or max. of 17 players. These can include as many rookies as a manager likes. If a team choices to keep 16 or 17 players, they will miss out on draft rounds 5 & 6. There will still be 10 draft rounds. If there are any questions just ask
.

Sunday 27th May Midnight Australia Eastern Standard Time.

What about players that we have traded for/lost? Would the players that we have lost, be in the player release section, and players that we have traded for be in the players retained?

No after you finished trading you have a look at your squad and deside which 15 players you want to keep. Once a player is traded his no longer owned by you and is owned by the other manager. He desided whether he either retained them or releases them.

Can all managers get these in ASAP if possiable, the sooner they all get the sooner we can start the draft. I understand there are some hard choice, so still think about before you submitt.

Is there any chance we can sacrifice draft picks to keep players?

Have to told to Bugs about it, but in the past you were only able to keep 10 players, these days you can keep 15. Should be enough to keep everyone you really need to keep.

10 would make it easier tbh...

But, will follow the rules.

The problem with only keeping 10 players, is that draft is too big. 15 rounds will take forever, 10 rounds pretty big as it is. The old board where considering allowing teams to keep 17, but that was with the rookies from last season and squads of 30 instead of 25. But looking at, it kinds of defeats the purpose of the players releases if you keep more then 15 players, there should always be a couple good players released from each side.

I know mate, I was just saying that I know who my top 10 are, but the difference between my 15th & 17th player is not that big. All I was saying is that it makes it harder.

I understand what you guys are doing.
