Ok i've finished updating all the rookie stats. A copy of the updated squads can be found here.

With rookies added in there has been a change to player releases. This means that any manager that released there players before can change their player releases. Each team now can keep a min. of 15 players or max. of 17 players. These can include as many rookies as a manager likes. If a team choices to keep 16 or 17 players, they will miss out on draft rounds 5 & 6. There will still be 10 draft rounds. If there are any questions just ask.

All managers have 8 days to submitt the player releases, so they are due by:

Sunday 27th May Midnight AEST

Shouldn't be the best 15, should be 15 at random. Unless they have a good reason for not getting them in on time, I don't see why they should be rewarded while others managed to get their selections in on time.

how do we know if we have not seen them.....how can we pick the rookies

and i think it should be a random 15. managers have had plenty of opportunity to get there picks in.

The reason why it best 15 is that there is good chance that guys that don't pick release may become inactive long term, so the club needs a new manager. Its unfair on the new manager if he gets a really crap side just cus the old manager was inactive. If you miss a draft round, then it will just be a random player, because its only one crap player. But with releases a team could lose 5-8 good players from their squad staright away if its just random. It would have too much effect on the whole squad.

Have a look at the NSW squad there is five extra players. Your rookies from last season.

This is mainly due to large gap between seasons and the fact that rookies stats were updated in between. However this will be the last time for such i will make exceptions. Ah Megan I don't want to tell you what to do, but you might want to recheck that.

Just seems strange to keep Shetty (34 years old FC Bat 37, OD Bat 45) and then release Chopra (29 years old FC Bat 39, OD Bat 50). A few other VERY interesting releases in there too...

Might have to change my retained list to 15 players given the quality of some of these drafted players
