Because we used ITS last season there are a lot of bowlers who now have really low bowling averages. In past there has been a limit of 32 s/r in FC and 22 s/r in OD. Only couple of bowlers in OD fall under 22 and they will be bumped up. But the issue is that a lot bowlers have really low e/r to go with s/r, which has meant that their bowling averages in the low teens. Its likely that any bowlers with averages below 17 will have their e/r bumped up to make their averages 17. But i will be doing some testing to check if there is actually going to be problem.

The other thing is batting all rounders in OD. There are few of the top batsmen in One Day Cricket, that have really crap bowling records and high OPMs. There is chance that any batsmen with a batting average of over 45, s/r of over 50 or bowl ave of over 40 and OPMs > 5, will have their OPMs delated so they can play as specialist batsmen. In the past they have allowed teams to deleted OPMs for batsmen in ODs and its worked quite well. But if we are going to do this i rather there we be limit on just the top batsmen with high OPMs.

I just thought i would let the managers know about these possible two changes so they can take it into consideration when trading. Once I do some testing the board will make a decison on these two issues.
I'm going to go absolutely mental if you do that to my bowling attack. The Guy trade in particularly weakened my side considerably for the sake of one guy. He was worth it, but if you all of a sudden bump up his figures after he's earned the stats he's got last season I won't be happy. There surely needs to be some sort of compensation because for you to suddenly just say, nah, his average is moving up 6.5 from 11.5 to 17 is totally unfair. I can understand the reasoning behind it, but I will certainly be seeking some form of compensation. Aside from that if you make all of those guys under 17 to just 17, it means suddenly bowlers who were much better than others are at the same level, and once again that just isn't fair.

I had a closer look into this, the main thing was the counter the effect that ITC had on bowling stats. But players like Moore and Harwood have always averaged under 17 in FC, even when VC4 was in use. The same applies for Harwood and Ramage in ODs.

So its likely only B Guy, T Binny, R Jesuraj, A Freeman, B Marshall, D Leverock, Z Edmonds and A Asad will only have their averages increased. These guys all played their first season in WCC under ITC, so their bowling stats are purely based on ITC, with the expect of a few matches in their rookies seasons. They are all also the top eight bowlers in the league now, average wise.

Also there is the option of sliding scale increase, rather then just banket increase for everyone to one number. That way the top bowlers still have an advantage. But we will see what happens in the test first and then go from there.

That's 3 of my ****ing bowlers.

Guy had an average of about 12 coming into WCC!! If things were raised I'd DEFINITELY be in favour of the sliding scale method. Because there's no way I could just sit back and watch the best FC bowling attack in WCC suddenly became an average Division 1 attack due to some stats adjustments which have affected virtually no one else.

The world is out to get you Andy just face it.

I had a look into the scaling method and TBH it would have next to no impact on Asad and Edmonds. It would have a significant impact on Binny and Guy, but they still would be the best two bowlers in the league. Its more about having realistic stats then anything else. There is a reason why there has always been a limit on batting averages of 65, any changes would be going down the same line. Really how many bowlers IRL have averages of 11 and 13.

Hey Tharmi. I still don't have a squad, apologies if you've sent it already, because I don't actually have it. The Queensland squad.

All players ages are updated. Keep in mind when trading all players over 33yo might retire, mind you we still have some players in the game that are 38yo old.
