I don't know if this really proves anything as GB said that VCM4 alters all abilities slightly for the better or the worse.
That's why bowlers like G.Chapple and A.Mascarenhas and several others have underperformed compared with the stats listed whereas others have performed above expectations (A.Swann, J.Anderson in Lancashire's case).
GB's database is therefore unique. Anybody else loading up stats into VCM4 to run matches would have a different set of players overperforming and underperforming.
GB has also said that VCM4 takes into account the season's performances and adjusts player ratings accordingly for the following season.
