Australia: one man team

Australia can't win much without Shane Watson it seems. Let this be a lesson!

They surely can, but can they win major tour at ease without captain Ponting ? it remains to be seen.

Watto might be fit to bowl for the next game, so he could well be brought in. They'll be saved from shame if so.

It does seem very bizarre to me how they've gone with batting and bowling specialists for this tournament. Obviously Watto has been injured but the other teams such as NZ, Pak have shown how having a number of 'all-rounders' (at least in some sense of the word) works in this format.

Can't help but agree with the sentiments raised by this thread.

Say what? Shane Watson became a crucial part of the Aussie Team? No way!

Given how Australias fifth bowling options are being crunched bringing Watson in would be a very good move Imo

England are dire. Can't even beat India or Sri Lanka at home. Clearly they don't count.

As Richard would say, "not test standard."

I have heard t20 spwcialists thrown around a lot of late. It doesn't seem to have herlpes England besides against Zimbabwe who must obviously be the closest team to English first class standard.

Quite the opposite, from the little attention I've been paying. Some of the Twenty20 "specialists" seem to have been among few to have performed for England in this tournament. It's the Test players who've not done much.
