Yea they should have dropped Dwayne Smith in my opinion, but anyway just as well for SA that Devon Smith is scratching around.

Anyways Gayle is taking Makhaya to the cleaners.
    'Sokay, mistakes happen

Great start to this tournament so far, Chris Gayle may have found his ideal game.

What is a par score in 20/20 usually? 160-180?

That's often a winning score, but at The Wanderers, I think 200+, may well be needed.

    Gayle makes 50, good knock

With the South Africans history of chasing on this pitch I wouldn't feel safe unless I got 260+!

Sorry, but the scars will never go away.

Gayle looks all set to become the first batsman to get a century in T20 international cricket, he is really playing a destructive knock here.

Gayle is seriously toying with the South African bowling attack.

Smith has been poor all night. Hard to look good with Gayle at the other end, mind you.

Twenty20 had a very good chance to win me over tonight as I was secretly looking forward to the game - but it obviously wasn't meant to be, given the cricket gods have served me a Gayle ton. Dire tstl.

    Samuels gone for 6.

Gayle on 99*. Will he become the Charles Bannerman of Twenty20 cricket?
