No, you didn't care what it was called, but you showed interest enough to debate the point.

It was clear interest in the tournaent, aswell as Twenty20 not impacting on ODIs and Test.

*scoff* Bowl-outs are clearly independent to Twenty20? Yeah sure, Twenty20 is the only format in which the bowl-out is used, tieing it directly to the tournament, particularly as that bowl-out took place during the tournament. Why should it have been put in CC? It was about Twenty20 cricket and the Twenty20 tournament, so this forum was an appropriate place.

No, the umpiring bans directly affected the tournament, as those umpires were banned from officiating during the tournament. Twenty20 sub-forum was again the appropriate and most relevant forum, although some discussion in CC would have been good.

They were just extra threads you'd posted in that were related to Twenty20 and this tournament, which you showed interest in with a variety of posts and comments.

I expect to see it gone forever, otherwise you will have lost a fair amount of respect. Don't bet on thing if you aren't willing to back it up.

I showed no interest at all; I could not care less what the damn thing is called. I posted only to make fun of those who did.

Not so; I did not once mention "Twenty20 specialists will enhance England's chances and I care about this" or indeed anything to run parrallell.

I have seen bowl-outs used in matches other than Twenty20s before, and there's been stipulation in the rules of several tournaments for their use too. The bowl-out debate is not something that pertains purely to Twenty20. If it was, I naturally would not have cared less about it.

It directly affected the tournament, yes, but it also affected other things. So long as something does not pertain exclusively to one tournament\series, the general, universal Cricket Chat forum is the best place for it.

They weren't related to showing an interest in Twenty20, however. One - the T2IBS thread - was related purely to bashing it; the other was related to trying to influence avatar challenges, which once again, could quite easily have just been put in a continuation of the normal avatar-challenge thread. In fact, I'd quite like to see the WC, Ashes and this avatar-challenge thread merged with said thread, TBH.

The bet, though, was placed by me. Therefore I and I alone am capable of knowing the particulars of it.

Geez Richard, I CBF going through and arguing all these points, but take your punishment like a man will you? You lost the bet, so deal with it and lose the avatar forever.

The bet was made for all to see, so anybody should be allowed to bring it up and challenge you on it. What's the point of making a bet on a public forum otherwise?

I didn't lose it, though. I and I alone know how much interest I showed. I don't take kindly to others of inferior knowledge on the subject telling me I have lost a bet that they are not as well-qualified as myself to comment on.

Especially when it concerns something as serious as this. D'you know how long I've had my avatar for? There's no way on Earth I'm ever losing it, unless the boss were to ban it or something.

Then why the hell would you place a bet on it? Seems a very stupid thing to do if you value your avatar so much, particularly as you've been proven to have lost the bet.

Anyway, whatever, I really can't be bothered arguing with you because I know you won't back down, even though you are wrong. I also know you're going to have the last word, because you can't resist, but whatever.

This one time me and my mates started playing a game called "take it like a man" which involved a tyre swing and standing open legged in its path, hilarity ensued.

Took it like a man TBH. But unfortunately for myself I will never be able to do so again.

The morale of the story is, take it like a man.

Wait no it isn't.

Nevermind.
