Tait to undergo elbow surgery

Our T20 campaign is already in ruins, and the nation is in shock :p

Nah, it's never good to see an injury, and i'd like to think that if there is any doubt, they keep him, and any other players with niggling injuries, at home instead of playing this hit 'n giggle tournament.

Not sure if Tait would have gone tbh. Not as good with the bat as the other bowlers. Pretty sure he won't be risked now, despite Ponting's 'I want to win everything, no matter what it is after losing the Ashes' attitude.

Nah, reckon he would've been a chance. They like him as a death bowler, so he probably would have gone.

It'll be interesting whether they choose the players who are next in line for ODI games, or if they choose a specialist Twenty20 squad. For example, someone like Harwood is a high quality Twenty20 bowler, and would deserve a spot in the squad ahead of other options, but if they choose the former method of selection, then he won't get picked.

Personally, i hope the Australia team is somewhat of a development team, with a huge run of international games coming after the T20 World Cup, i'd prefer those who're in for a vigorous summer be spared, and give some younger blokes an experience of what it's like on the world stage (even though it is only T20 cricket). That said, i very much doubt it will happen...

Nah. I hope they pick a specialist 20/20 squad. Hate the excuse of giving young players a run. If they're ready, they're ready, if they're not, they're not. Don't care what form of cricket it is.
