Cam White will get a go I'd say.

Hope he bowls, I don't rate him much as a bowler.

As a hitter though he could do some serious damage.

I wonder how much commonality the Aussie squad will have with the WC2007 squad. Now the Zimbabwe tour is off, its the start of a long cricket feast for the Aussies, so the senior players might give it a miss. I'd think Gilly might well give it a miss, but Ponting might have to go for appearance's sake. Otherwise Hussey might get another go as captain?

I'd give it to Clarke TBH, he is the future and this would be a good chance for him to show if he could handle the pressure.

The big names for Australia are not going to miss this tournament. Maybe Gilly, but I doubt it. This is the first time this kind of thing has been played, and given they won't have much cricket going into it, there really is no excuse for anyone to pull out. Ponting will play. After the Ashes defeat he wants to win everything, and wants to be the leader when Australia does win.

They'll pick a specialist squad though, so guys like Cameron White and James Hopes will be named in the squad. Won't be too different from the WC squad.

On the other side of the spectrum, a natural aptitude to money with green coming to signify money and possibly even *********!

I dont think any players will miss it either, it is a good oportunity for players to blow a few cobwebs out. Lee will be particularly keen after missing the WC.

It will probably be the WC squad with Lee back for McGrath.

Disagree because they may pick ecnonical bowlers (we hope) and sloggers like Whitey.

I guess Hussey would stay away from captaincy for rest of his life [after his recent brush with captaincy], and probably that would be a good thing for both Hussey and Australia.
