another reason why we need to tackle climate change asap
Actually it'd be great if we can cross check those Jimmy numbers with climate data from his last whatever good years to early ones

Furthermore wouldn't the climate change affect his bowling negatively since its progressively getting hotter

climate change means extreme weather events rather than steadily noticeable increments to temperatures tbf

Yes but increasing of temperature due to both human related and natural reasons go hand in hand with climate change no?

I do wonder how much the drs has helped*. Something I looked up recently concluded bowlers were taking 6% more wickets due to drs alone. Add to that that batsman would be forced into playing a lot more awkward shots now that they would have once padded away and it surely has some impact.

*Not to discredit the current mob, rather a mere curiosity. The bowlers were due a redress to all the advances in cricket that only ever seemed to favour batsmen.

edit: also the 6s stat is hilarious. he leads the way with 62 and mendis is his nearest rival with 28.

In what order would you prefer them?

Cummins
Anderson
Boomrah
Broad
Rabada (bit down on form but otherwise right up there)
Hazlenut
Wagner
Southee
Boult
Trundler

Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad with over 3000 Test overs between them in the last five years. Wow. You wonder how England will ever replace them.

Such a tempting post but I’ll leave it for someone better.

Whatever it takes!!!
Jaddu has 5 5fers against Stokes' 2 too and I think if you include 4fers, it would be like even higher. They have different roles in their sides but surely it cant be an argument that they are both up there when it comes to the best allrounders in the game right now?

That's only cos there's a 1,500 or whatever cutoff. Jadeja has 44 (1,400 or so runs in the same period @ 46.28 and 152 wickets @ 24.57)
