Washington Sundae as a frontline bat

This would be the fastest way of ruining a young talent. Remember Irfan Pathan? Let him bide his time where he is for now. Play him when others are unavailable or when conditions allow. He'll still only be 25 or so when he becomes a full-time member in the side. That's a long and fruitful career ahead of him yet. Consider this his apprenticeship till then.
I don't think the batting opportunities ruined Irfan Pathan, I think his style of bowling just meant that his pace would fluctuate a great deal and that he was prone to losing accuracy and swing. It always felt more of a technical nuance than anything else. I think that narrative is too easy because it is not like India stopped bowling him or anything.

Hes only 21. Three half centuries in international matches, two where he would have likely made a century had he had partners, all in pressure situations and all playing real cricket shots.

The India operation needs to give him the FC and India A experience
Agree. And I'm not ready to completely discount his bowling either. I remember people used to love to write off Jadeja as a darter and now he is a consistent wicket taker in all conditions. I think being around top level cricket really helps a bowler to learn at a super speed. Stuart Broad is an example of someone who wasn't great in Test cricket when he started but all of his ODI and Test opportunities allowed him to mature into one of the most skilful bowlers of recent times.
